Striped Fiber Tape

Norpie® produces striped fiber tape with high-strength Polyester fiber as the base material and modified rubber adhesive coated on both sides. The unique striped surface design effectively enhances tensile strength to 180N/cm. Laboratory tests show the product has a fracture elongation rate of ≤3% and a 180° peel strength of 28N/25mm on steel plates, with an applicable temperature range of-40℃ to 120℃.

This striped fiber tape is engineered for heavy-duty applications including cargo securing, pipeline reinforcement, and equipment protection. We now offer free sample requests to global clients. Product processing

I. Substrate Pretreatment Process

Polyester fiber cloth inspection: Test the base material's tensile strength (≥180N/cm in longitudinal direction) and weave density

Heat treatment: The surface slurry is degreased in a high-temperature furnace at 280℃

Impermeation treatment: The bonding strength between fibers and adhesives is enhanced through silane coupling agent immersion tank

2. Adhesive Preparation System

Raw material preparation: Pre-mix rubber-based polymer and tackifier resin in a 5:2 ratio.

Internal mixing process: 45 minutes of mixing in an internal mixer at 110℃

Coating viscosity control: Use a Brookfield viscometer to ensure the adhesive solution viscosity is 8500±500cps

3. Single-sided Coating and Composite Process

Precision Coating: A reverse-roll coating head applies coating to one side of the substrate at 15-25m/min

Backside lamination: The coated surface is laminated with a PET release film (0.05mm thick) under a composite pressure of 0.8-1.0MPa.

Drying system: Five-stage drying oven with temperature gradient set at 70℃/90℃/110℃/100℃/80℃

4. Embossing Process

Pressing treatment: The backing surface is formed with deepening stripes of 0.03-0.05mm depth through the use of a embossing roller.

Heat curing: 2-minute heat curing at 100℃

Cooling and setting: The tape is set using a three-roll cooling system at 20±5℃

V. Post-Processing Flow

Cutting process: Utilizes a high-precision circular blade cutter with a precision of ±0.15mm

Reel control: Constant tension rewinding system (Tension range 2-5N)

Packaging environment: Packaging is completed in a clean environment with temperature 23±2℃ and humidity 50±5%

VI. Quality Control System

Each striped fiber tape roll undergoes initial adhesion (using No.12 steel balls) and adhesion retention (over 72 hours) testing.

Perform batch sampling tests for backing peel strength (8-12N/25mm)
