1. Base Material Properties

The Crown DS513 Double-sided Tape uses a 0.08mm specialty cotton paper substrate. It weighs 65g/㎡.

The longitudinal tensile strength is 90N/cm or higher. The transverse strength is 80N/cm or higher.

The elongation rate is 6% or less. This keeps the material stable during processing.

The substrate can handle temperatures up to 160°C for 30 minutes.

Product Processing

1. Substrate Structure Characteristics

I. Substrate pretreatment process

Raw material testing: Conduct tensile strength test on 0.08mm cotton paper substrate (≥90N/cm in longitudinal direction, ≥80N/cm in transverse direction)

Corona treatment: The substrate surface tension is elevated to 52-54 dyn/cm using a corona treatment device.

Preheating and setting: The substrate undergoes stabilization treatment on a 85℃ preheating roller to eliminate internal stresses.

2. Adhesive Preparation System

Raw material ratio: Acrylate monomer and tackifier resin are pre-mixed in a specific proportion

Reactor synthesis: Conduct a 5-hour polymerization reaction at a constant temperature of 88℃

Viscosity control: Use a rotational viscometer to ensure the adhesive viscosity is within the range of 3800±500 cps.

3. Precision Coating Process

Double-sided coating: Utilizes a micro-embossed coating head with a speed of 18-28m/min

Thickness control: Both sides of the adhesive layer are 0.06mm thick, with a total thickness of 0.20±0.02mm

Drying system: Four-stage drying oven with temperature gradient set at 65℃/85℃/105℃/80℃

4. Composite Machining Process

Release film lamination: The Crown DS513 Double-sided Tape is joined with a silicone oil release film. The release force is 8-12g/in.

Maturation: The material stays in a 45℃ chamber for 36 hours. This completes the cross-linking reaction.

Quality Control: An online system checks coating thickness all the time. The tolerance is ±2.5%.

5. Post-Processing Flow

Cutting process: A high-precision circular blade cutter is used. The cutting accuracy is ±0.15mm.

Reel control: The rewinding system keeps tension steady. The tension range is 2-4N.

Packaging environment: Packaging is done in a clean area. Temperature is 23±2℃. Humidity is 50±5%RH.

6. Quality Control System

Each product roll undergoes initial adhesion (10# steel ball) and adhesion retention (>72h) testing.

Each batch undergoes high-low temperature cycling tests (-30℃ to 100℃).
